The Team
Ravi Thakur - director, organizer and guide.

Was born in Manali on March 23, 1977.
As a young trekker he has explored many treks around Manali,
in Lahaul & Spiti,
Zanskar and Ladakh.
Has a good knowledge and understanding of these areas.
When he is not trekking or traveling he loves to pass his time browsing
the internet, drawing & painting
and reading nice books. In winter he loves to go for skiing with his friends.
Dheeraj Gaur - guide & snow boarding.

Was born in Jagatsukh, ancient capital of the Kulu
valley.
As a pure local boy he has adapted to the modern sports well.
His greatest sport is snow boarding, and, while trekking,
he doesn't leave any opportunity to mount his board if snow is present.
He has a lot of experience with trekking and knows his way around
the mountains as no other. He can arrange snow board adventures

Was born at village Balsari
in Manali on 17th august 1946.
After completing his studies he joined the I.T.B.P Force in 1964.
(Indo Tibetan Border Police)
In order to promote professional knowledge he has undergone 27 courses
in various civil and army training institutions.
Befitting the glorious tradition of the Force, he did mountaineering courses
with "A" grading and skiing courses with "A" grading.
Keeping his instructional capability in view, he was recommended as instructor
for Personal Combat, Guerrilla and Commando courses.
He has conducted himself very effectively and his dedication to the job was
highly applauded.
He participated as a deputy leader with two mountaineering expeditions in
Spiti (H.P)
to an unnamed peak in 1972 and again in 1974 to the top of the M-6 (Mulkilla-6).
He was one of the summiteers of the un-named peak Ht.20050.
He served in most difficult posts in Leh-Ladakh and Kinnaur.
For his excellent and meritorious service he has received many rewards and
medals.

After serving in I.T.B.P Force for 38 years,
he took premature retirement on 30th august 2002 and
there after he looks after the managerial tasks of Himalayan Caravan Adventure |
